For the new temporary exhibition Rabbit inhabits the Moon, Evolving Soundscapes, the public programme curated by Chiara Lee and freddie Murphy, moves into even more performative territories hosting a series of site-specific performances by Korean and Italian artists inspired by Nam June Paik’s belief that artists are spiritual mediums who connect the audience and the invisible world and his comparison of Fluxus happenings to the rituals of Korean shamans.
Echoes of Fluxus art practice will shape and guide the artists in a programme that is all about freedom and loose rules to be filled with personal interpretations: modern rituals combining traditional music, acrobatic art and dance with Gooseeung art company, an interaction between Huynhye (Angela) Seo and “Nocturne n.20/Counterpoint” by Ahn Kyuchul, a vocal exploration of the unsaid by Diana Lola Posani, a performance by Francesca Heart exploring hydrofeminism, and finally a ritual for queer rage and grief by bela, in a special evening at Combo in collaboration with The Listeners, Turin based network dedicated to sound-based transdisciplinary languages.
